Engagement Shoot Re-Cap

Hello, 2011. Fancy meeting you here!

Haven't done too much wedding planning over the past few months, hence the lack of posting about said planning. For those of you who didn't know, I had a lumbar discectomy on October 28th...which was such a super way to spend Halloween. I'm doing much better now though, and actually have started to go back to the gym full-time :-) Oh, and work too. Steve, of course, was amazing. Any man who will stand by the shower and wash your hair with a big yellow cup because you can't stand to hold your arms above your head (and also in case you fall, so he can catch you), is definitely marriage material. I'm so lucky that I had a situation where Steve could see how vulnerable I really am and I can see how strong he really is! It was a total role reversal for us and was probably one of the best things to happen to our relationship. Talk about having someone you can rely on and depend on!

But, enough about all that mushy stuff...

1 month after surgery, Steve and I met up with Stephen Gosling , the amazing photographer we won the free engagement shoot with. It was probably one of the last decent days of fall and we definitely lucked out! It was very cold and very windy (and, let's be honest...I had a double dose of painkillers and muscle relaxers in me to cope with all the walking, sitting, standing, etc). But, these photos turned out absolutely stunning!!! Stephen is such a genuinely nice person, which made it very easy to act our silly selves in front of his lens.

In fact, I may have "hired" him via a Facebook comment. Sadly, he reminded me that we don't yet have a venue (and thus not a date "TECHNICALLY"), and so we need to get those silly details out of the way. But, we're trying to move fast on that so we can hurry up and hire Stephen :-) I just couldn't imagine having anyone else with us on our special day.

Here is a link to Stephen's blog and here for ALL of the pics :-)

Moral of this blog post? ENTER TO WIN FREE THINGS! It has to be somebody, right? Why not you?

You're too cute RaeAnn. Thanks for loving my work as much as I do!
